A Deeper Dive
Punit Dhillon is President and CEO of Skye Bioscience (Nasdaq: SKYE), a clinical-stage biotech company developing new medicines for obesity and related metabolic conditions. He has led Skye since 2020 and serves on its board.
Before Skye, he spent about 14 years in DNA-based medicines. He was Vice President of Finance and Operations at Inovio Pharmaceuticals, then co-founded OncoSec Medical and served as its President and CEO. Across his companies he has helped raise more than $700 million.
He wrote Catapult, a book on thinking like a corporate athlete, and publishes Mind Club, three free intelligence briefs on biotech, AI and the wider world. He lives in San Diego with his family.
Punit is the recipient of the Most Admired CEO award by the San Diego Business Journal, the BIOCOM Catalyst Award, the BASS Community Impact Award (SFU Beedie School of Business), and has been recognized as a finalist for Ernst & Young’s Annual Entrepreneur of the Year.
